THE VIRTUAL SNAP FAIRYTALE & FOLKLORE FESTIVAL VIRTUAL AUTHOR EVENTS We're celebrating readers, writers, and great fairytale and folklore books this summer. Wehave live virtual events where you can ask the authors about their work, engage in interesting conversátions, and participate in draw-offs with illustrators! SOMAN CHAINANI Author of The School for Good and Evil series will discuss what makes a good fairytale character and how to rewrite their fate. 10 am on Saturday, June 13th via Zoom KATHERINE ARDEN 10 am and 6 pm on Thursday, June 11th via Zoom Author of the Winternight Trilogy will discuss her adult Russian folk-inspired tales. BEAR NIGHTINGALE THE PIED PIPER SHADOW PUPPET SHOW 7 pm on Tuesday, June 16th via Zoom MODERN FAIRYTALE AND FOLKLORE PANEL CORSES K SSES Seth Eberle will showcase his unique puppetry work in this production of The Pied Piper of Hamelin as part of the Fairytale and Folklore Festival. Register by June 19th. Authors Sandhya Menon, Melissa de la Cruz, and Melissa Savage will discuss how they modernized their stories and share their writing processes. Get ready for an evening of quirky heroes, family curses, and banished villains. 10 am on Saturday, June 20th via Zoom 7 pm on Tuesday, June 23rd via Zoom NESS QUEST RENÉE AHDIEH Author of The Wrath and the Dawn, Flame in the Mist, and The Beautiful series will talk about her books, how she THE WRATH ACCORDION PHOTO ALBUM Create a special photo album with help from Creativebug artists. Supplies available at our libraries via curbside delivery. Register by June 5th. THE reimagined The Arabian Nights, and how she gets inspired by legends and folklore. DAWN RENEE AHDIEH 10 am on Saturday, June 27th via Zoom Supplies will need to be picked up by June 15th and returned by June 30th. AUTHOR/ILLUSTRATOR PANEL...& DOODLE SHOWDOWN Illustrators and Authors Dan Santat, Leigh Gldilock Hodgkinson, and Sam Wedelich will talk about their books and then participate in a doodle showdown. You can participate too! Bring sheets of paper and something to draw with to this panel. Gur ONE TEEN FRIENDS TRIVIA CHICKEN The One with the Trivia Winner! Compete to achieve Bracelet Buddy Status in this trivia competition.
