Methanex High School Scholarship Program methanex the power of agility Scholarship Award: Methanex is offering a one-time $2,500 scholarship to one senior from each Ascension Parish public high school (Donaldsonville, Dutchtown, East Ascension, Prairieville, and St. Amant). A total of five (5) Methanex scholarships will be awarded. Eligibility: Graduating seniors with a 3.0 GPA or higher in high school planning to pursue a four-year college degree at an accredited Louisiana university in a STEM-related Application Process: field: science, technology, engineering, or math (STEM). ✓ Applicants must include a 500-word essay on why they are pursuing a degree in a STEM-related field. ✓ Applicants must include a letter of recommendation from a non-family teacher or mentor. ✓ Completed applications will be reviewed by a committee of Ascension Parish ✓ ✓ school board staff. Methanex committee members will conduct a short interview with finalists before determining winners. The five scholarship winners will be mentioned locally in a Methanex and Ascension Parish School System news release and social media posts. Winners and their parents will be invited to a luncheon at Methanex in June.
