
5th Grade News October 7 - October 11, 2024 ELA In this section, students will read chapters 9-10 of The Birchbark House to gain an understanding of the impact of smallpox on Omakayas, her family, and the Ojibwa community. Students will continue building their understanding of how Omakayas is growing and strengthening through the seasons especially as the disease brings many challenges to her family.
