G.A. Treakle PTA Board Members NEEDED

G.A.Treakle Elementary PTA Every Child Matters! G.A. Treakle Community, It's time once again to select the PTA Executive Board for the 2020/2021 school year. Our Nominating Committee is conducting a search for parents interested in accepting a leadership role on our board and making a difference. This is a great way to make an invaluable contribution to the students at G.A. Treakle. You can nominate yourself or someone you know, just please fill out the form below and return it to your child's schoole The board positions and the responsibilities of that position are: PRESIDENT- Presides over all PTA meetings, speaks at general meetings, coordinates work of officers and committees, and is an ex-officio member of all committees except the nominating committee. Refer to the PTA by-laws for other responsibilities. VICE PRESIDENT- Oversees programs designed to strengthen relationships between school/parent/student. Promotes Reflections program, Acts as an aide to the President as needed. Responsible for volunteer coordination with the volunteer chair. SECRETARY- Takes notes at PTA board meetings, prepares minutes for meetings and ensures copy of minutes are available, keeps the official copy of the Local Unit by-laws, and maintains a membership list as required by the Virginia PTA/PTSA. TREASURER- Responsible for all funds of the association and maintaining and keeping accurate books and records. Presents financial reports, both written and verbal, at all meetings. Responsible for maintaining the financial reports for the necessary tax documents and pays the PTA bills.
