Why Girls Inc. $1 Girls Inc. of Johnson County has an 80 year history of inspiring all girls to be strong, smart, and bold, by providing girls with life-changing hands-on, minds-on activities and solutions to the unique challenges they face. The "Girls Inc. Experience" consists of people, an environment, and programming that, together, empowers girls to succeed. Trained staff and volunteers build lasting, mentoring relationships in a girls- only space that is physically and emotionally safe and where girls find a sisterhood of support with shared drive, mutual respect, and high-expectations. Interactive, research-based programs provide girls with the skills and knowledge to set goals, overcome obstacles, and improve academic performance. Science Technology Engineering Art Math STEAM Start will allow girls the opportunity to be engineers as they build a "pets playground" that will support a real hamster.
